Breaking down digital barriers to improve access to healthcare for every resident in the District of Columbia.

Low literacy and digital proficiency among many District residents create barriers to effectively using telehealth and remote monitoring technologies, leading to missed health insights, fragmented care, and difficulties adhering to treatment plans.

According to the 2021 American Community Survey, approximately 88,000 DC residents in about 39,000 households (23 percent) do not have broadband subscriptions.

Approximately 100,000 DC residents do not feel confident in their skills for completing basic online activities using computers e.g., connecting to the internet from a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, connecting with family and friends, or looking up information of any kind.
As part of our ongoing commitment to closing the digital divide in healthcare access, pathway offers the following core services designed to support community members in navigating virtual care options confidently and independently
We are committed to a bold vision: using digital innovation and AI-powered solutions to advance digital health literacy in every community.
To bring this vision to life, we’re seeking mission-aligned partners, donors, and investors who share our belief in the power of technology to transform lives and close healthcare gaps.
At Pathway, our mission is to invest in preventative solutions that eliminate digital barriers to care.
In Washington, D.C., many residents delay care due to a shortage of physicians and limited digital health literacy. These challenges often lead to preventable hospitalizations, unmanaged chronic conditions, and costly treatments.
We believe that expanding digital access and increasing health literacy can help close this gap. Many residents struggle to use telehealth and remote monitoring tools effectively, resulting in missed health insights, fragmented care, and difficulty following treatment plans.
We aim to change that by delivering in-person digital health tech support where it’s needed most.
At our Connected Care Lounge, we offer walk-in, personalized assistance to help individuals:
